| Holly Cole-
Cry if you want to
I won't tell you not to.
I won't try to cheer you up,
I'll just be here If you want me.
It's no use in keeping a stiff upper lip,
You can weep, you can sleep
You can loosen your grip.
You can frown, you can drown
And go down with the ship.
You can cry if you want to.
Don't ever apologise venting your pain,
Its something to me you don't need to explain.
I don't need to know why,
I don't think its insane.
You can cry if you want to.
The windows are closed,
The neighbours aren't home,
If its better with me than to do it alone,
I'll draw all the curtains,
And unplug the phone
You can cry if you want to.
You can stare at the ceiling,
And tear at your hair,
Swallow your feelings,
And stagger and swear.
You can show things and throw things
and I wouldn't care.
You can cry if you want to.
I won't make fun of you.
I won't tell anyone.
I won't analyze what you do
Or you should have done.
I won't advise you to go and have fun.
You can cry if you want to.
Well its empty and ugly
And terribly sad.
I can't feel what you feel,
But I know it feels bad.
I know that its real
And it makes you so mad.
You can cry.
Cry if you want to,
I won't tell you not to.
I won't try to cheer you up.
I'll just be here if you want me to be near you. | | |
| Dear Lady Beaconsfield,
I have recently neglected our bloody conversations
and would like to rekindle the not-so-cheery spark. To add to
that extent, how has your life been? Terrible like mine I hope
not. Besides the DOW rising and falling to what seems like the
beat of "Dancing in September", I've found that dogs and cats do not
mix. Oh and my cat may be cured! (just when I was hoping
she would croak...) My decision still remains the same; I
do not want children. DaCoda Ray-Anne is adorable- but such a
public menace. I have not had any contact with the outside world,
including you, my sister, Nana, nor Jo. My grandmother, who
insisted on this painting J'Net made, does not want the bloody thing
now. You will not believe the trouble we went through to get
that. Not to mention the platitudes and the constant bickering
about cutting my hair. I think I've watched "The Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy" one to many times. I have 'so long and
thanks for all the fish' stuck in my head.
all my love,

| "Keep your guns Bushy!" She shouted at the TV.
Good morning sunshine! It's almost noon here at COTV. Don't wait up, just jump in the line.
So far, five phone calls, twelve minutes to my grandmother, and an 'oh
shit' from my mom. I'm working on a list of words and
songs. Discovery is in space. I'm on earth and
lovesFanFics!
Lines in a song:
1. Take my tears and that's not nearly all
2. This youthful heart can love you, oh and give you what you need/ but
I'm too old to go chasing you around, wasting my presious energy
3. The hot July moon saw everything
4 and we're spinning with the stars above, and you lift me up in a wave of love
5. They think we're lovers kept under cover
6. With eyes as black as coal that look down in my soul, and starts a fire there and then I lose control
7. My young heart's in tatters and I'm sure, that it will be a long time healing
8. Left alone with just a memory, Life seems dead and so unreal
9. And all the sunshine banishes the dark

'It was almost evening when I looked out the window. Dark gray clouds loomed overhead withholding
the promise of rain. Though the dry
summer months pressed on, the scene looked as beautiful as ever and just as
vaguely regal with each leaf on the evergreens.
My mind wondered to and fro with the passing of vehicles on the street
in front. The wind, though unseen with
eyes, beautifully sways trees like a waltz, never silently, but with the swish
of arms tangled together. Caught in
delicate rays of light, spider webs linger over towering blades of grass. If time were still, which it is not, would
the trees’ dances go on forever?'
